softmod using splinter cell freezes after click linux

i'm trying to softmod my box using splintercell, i followed the tutorials and got up to the part where i loaded the box with the save and started the game and linux came up as a profile but when i click it it goes to checkpoints or levels screen and if i click that it only freezes? wht gives, please if any of you x-box gods out there are listening kindly help this mere mortal.

hey dude im in the same fookin boat! wen ever i fookin click checkpoints it freezes. i waited for like 10 mins and it still hadnt done anything. on my harddrive it has a splinter cell profile called linux and at the very top of my hardrive seperate to the splinter cell file it has linux installer and if u press right it says install linux. plz someone tell me and the other guy hus in the same boat how to soft mod our xboxs PLZ, it would be much apprieciated.

Okay...
u got to make sure you dont have any other profiles exept the linux profile.
and make sure you dont have any maps
so in on your xbox memory in the Splinter cell slot u should only have LINUX_profile

same thing happened to me too, i think its just a bad profile.
it says when hovering over 'linux' in the load game menu, under ''controller'' 'BAD TYPE'

are you guys using 1 or 2 game saves ? you shound have 2 , 1 large one and 1 small one. good luck !

if your using NTSC xboxs then ur using a PAL save,so it cant load and freezes,if ur xbox is PAL then you've got an NTSC save file,you need to get the same type of save as ur xbox,not really a way pf tellin just try some other sites

delete anything you have in your splinter cell saves besides the profile you need. I had the same problem, and when I deleted all the other profile and downloaded content I was able to softmod. If you have action replay, you might want to save the profiles if you do not want to lose them for ever.

If you are using the memory cards that came with your action replay this is what is causing the problem. You need to use a memory card that didn't come with AR and transfer the files to it. The AR cards have a tendency to corrupt profiles for all games.

the splinter cell softmod has 2 saves just to let everybody know..
u can get them at my tutorial site at the bottom where my sig is....
