all I get is when it starts to encode I see a boy jumping up in the air with like a sun starting to rise over the horizon and then it just stops.

ah the jumping boy! Shrink can't handle that one. Rip the movie with decrypter 1st then encode/compress thru shrink. If that doesn't do the trick here's how others did it w/ shrink:

I tried to dycrypt threw dvd dycrypter then encode threw shrink but all it was telling me was choose another file. is ripping and dycripting the same??

All Rippin and Decryting is with DVD Decrypter is to put the files in a folder on ur C:\ and then go through the process of pressing start and then it will decrypt the files into the folder... Then once all the files are in the folder... Create a sub folder within that folder open DVD Shrink and go through the process there and make the folder it asks for the sub folder u have just created....

DVD Shrink can do this by itself, just have to use the "Still Image" feature: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44001
