first off i wanna say, if this is not realted to shirnk sorry, im used to posting here.. when sahara first came out or a few days b4 i burned it and havent watched it till now, when i played it it was fine but i couldnt turn off the directors comments, and i hate it!! i tried a lot of things with the dvd but they didnt go away

any answers..

What program did you use to burn your backup? You need to edit when you burn and just choose the 5.1 sound and not the 2 channel. Your standalone may be defaulting to 2 channel try and use the audio button on your standalone remote and choose 5.1.

You are welcome, just uncheck the 2 channel this is usually the directors comments on most DVD's.

I take off the menu, but if I leave two audio streams, just push the audio button on the remote to switch to the one you want. That's what I do, for subtitles too.
