If I can find the one with "Made In Japan" manufactured by Hitachi, then I'll be glad to grab at least 2 packs of the 50 a pack. Seriously, with only $17.94 you can't go wrong with this deal.

Even the Taiwanese Maxell +R discs are RICOHJPN .. my burner loves 'em!

Just visited Staples, these 50 packs on Sale are ALL Taiwan made, I picked up a pack of Gold top DVD-R 8X, these code as RITEKG05. Very Good! At this price, less than 40 cents each, it's a Must Buy! I can assume that the +Rs are Ricoh code. Anyone buy any and check???

The +8x taiwanese maxells should have the MID code of Ritek-R03
The +4x taiwanese maxels,if there are any left,will code as Ricohjpn-01. Both very good media,my benq's love both those MID codes.
The ritek-r03's are sweet.I get that same code on the Office Depot 100 pack spindles of +8x,and cheaper than the on sale price of maxells. Usually around 30 cents apiece,not counting the governor's share.They were on sale last week.
28 cents apiece is the lowest price I've paid for those Office Depot riteks.170/170 success rate on those OD ritek-r03s.

I think that I purchased the last of the RICOHJPN 4x +Maxell discs from my local Office Depot, for Taiwanese produced doscs they are right there with the Verbs (at least in my book)... And, yes the OD R03 discs are very good for supposedly 'budget' house brand media, what a bargain! .. They have the most beautiful purple color in the industry ... AND my success rate with them has been only one bad disc out of several hundred (and that was a scuffed bottom of the spindle disc)

Thanks Guys! I can tell you that I have used Ritek Branded media before and never a coaster. So, I think that even though the Maxell/RITEK DVD-R are Made in Taiwan, Ritek makes some Quality DVD Media. The G05 have a Very Good Burn Quality & Success rate. I mostly use Sony (Taiyo Yuden Coded) Verbatim, and some TDK, most alway I use +r media, but I like to use DVD-R sometimes If they're Good Quality. These Maxells ARE. RITEKG05 is one of Riteks BEST!

arniiebear, Consider it done! Ritek media is Very Good Media! Ridata makes very good media, period. Maybe not THE BEST, but for the Money, Excellent!

i can add my success stories to Ritek G05s too~ :) they are VERY good media...i happen to have the Ridata Ritek 8x DVD-R G05s, but, im sure the other branded ones with the same media coding is just as good~ 500+ backups on these from over 2 years ago, did some testing on them last month, STILL playback flawlessly....
another thumbs up for me too~ :)
