The tool must be in a very specific place. Don't take off the stick back cover and put the tool in. Wiggle it around abit until it is in the correct place. You then know where to permanently stick it.
If can be quite hard, but after the first one you will be able to do it with ease.

I've had a horrible time geting Magic Keys 2 to work.
The main problem i'm having is geting tool 1 in. When i do get it in, i can't close the disc tray.
I therefore tried my tool A which came with my magic switch 2 but it also doesn't allow the disc tray to close either. Overall i have found this procedure a nightmare and now have found that the tiny tab on my Tool A which came with Magic Keys 2 is now bent renedring it useless.
Can somebody please help me? Decent pictures would help unlike the ones i've seen on other site tutorials.

if you have the slim PS2 which i am presuming you have, the top loading disc tray is not supposed to be closed when the tools are in. and if you have problems with the tool near the hinge, make sure you have enough light to see it, and get some twezers and carefully put it in the space. when you get to the disc breaker you have to hold it back and make sure you get enough light to see it, if the tool dont fit in put some tissue in there lol, it still works i found that one to be the hardest to put in so i just used some tissue and it still works.

I've got a similar problem with the thin tool.
I've managed to get it in so that some discs spin all the time (e.g.t eh swap magic disc which works and takes me to the screen where you switch discs)
I then put the copied disc in which starts to spin but then stops and it says that the game does not work.
What do you think is wrong?

All the websites say you can close the lid using the Magic Keys 2.
If you can't then that is false advertising. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't able to close the lid on slim PS2

it was the same thing when i brought the slim tool pro i particularly wanted the pro ones becasue i wanted to close my lid too keep the dust out. but when i saw pictures and fited it in myself the thing was little open, becasue the tool right at the front keeps it open. i have seen worse slim tools where the lid is fully open and not closed at all.

If your console does not have the metal block where tool C fits then buy a slimtool. www.slimtool.co.uk has information on where to buy.
If your console is affected a Slimtool MK2 ( Magic Keys 2) is the best option and i have found them at
www.techwizad.com for only 6.99.
Currently the cheapest in the UK i think.
If i find them cheaper i will let you know.

Has anyone else here tried the twisttool apart from keili? Ednasaunt claims that the twisttool snaps when you twist it. Even I can't understand how that plastic twisttool will not snap if you twist it. Also the magickeys 2 are now being sold on alot of online stores but the twisttool is only being sold on console.com. If the twisttool was as good as described then surely it would be sold by many sites.

Hi,
I have only had one person unable to install MagicKeys2 from the hundred I have sold.
I think it is a much stroger product than twist-tool, but I can not really say because I have not tried that myself.

keili is the guy who makes the twist tool and runs the website so of course he is going to say the magic keys 2 is not very good.
i have found 3 places that sell the magic keys 2
www.techwizad.com (cheapest)
www.ps2ools.co.uk ( more pricey)
www.consolemods.co.uk (inbetween price)
All 3 sites are good, techwizad has a range of all console goodies, ps2ools of course is just ps2 goodies, and consolemods does a bit of all consoles.
All 3 are pretty good sites, i would go for the cheapest (techwizad) which has recorded delivery option on all goods or consolemods which has a good range of stuff.

Hey guys,
Sorry you feel I'm a bit pricy.
Here's a coupon for you all: 'afterdawn'.
This will give you £4.00 off, but please only use it when purchasing MagicKeys 2 or MagicKeys 2 and Swap Magic.
EDIT: Restructured pricing, so voucher is now for £2.00.

d'oh £4 off voucher too late for me!!! But magickeys do work!!
And I may be the one guy who could not get it to work but it seems okay now and I was doing something wrong....
My only issue is that some games do not seem to work. I have a copied game which works on a mate's ps2 which is chipped but does not work on mine which has magickeys.
I have some import games which do work though... Any idea if the games need to be copied differently if they are chipped or if you use Magickeys?
Thanks

It depends which game is it? What kind of media are you using? If a game has dummy files, you'd need to overwrite them to play it with Swap Magic. Dummy files don't affect a modchip at all.
10. Q. What does rebuilding an iso mean?
A. It means that some games 4.36-4.38GB's may need rebuilt to work with Swap Magic. Games over 4.38GB's will need rebuilt. This isn't true for ALL games over 4.38GB's and differs on a game to game basis. There is no need to rebuild games if you have a modchip.
11. Q. How Do I rebuild games?
A. With Nero and Isobuster (works as long as no single file is over 2 GB's): http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/197949 With CD/DVDGen: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/210515 With Expert (Gnie's new rebuilding tool):
Gnie's PS2 Auto Rebuilder Tool Download (Thanks to 3DLuis):
http://www.alucard.cc/ps2/ExPERT_v1.03.rar
Instructions to Gnie's Tool ExPERT:
From Anthony 05:
Download it and then follow these instrcutions and it will work.
1. select Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins list.
2. Select the iso.
3. Click extract LBA
4. Click extract file
5. Click rebuild file
6. Click rebuild lba.
Make sure you do it in that order.
This worked for me when every other way failed.
It is very easy to do so even the noobies should be able to do it.
Keep in mind im backing up the PAL version, but if your having trouble backing up with NTSC then i dont see a problem trying.
Good luck.
49. Q. I'm rebuilding game X, I'm concerned it has dummy files. How do I identify the dummy files?
A. From Hursty: When you see the iso has dummy files.i.e 00DUMMY. 01DUMMY. GARBAGE ETC, you need to get rid of them, by replacing them with a file. So on the desktop, right click the mouse, select "new" > text document and rename it as it appears in isobuster, then click enter. Then open the text document on the desktop, hit space once, then save, this will create a text document with 1 byte in it, Do this for all the dummy files you have, as some games have more than one.
