I can only find TYs and Verbs for $0.86CDN per DVD online including tax and shipping, (and thats only if I order by the hundred), or if I get them in fifty packs online its $0.98CDN per DVD.... this is ordering from blankmedia.ca.....

If I buy Verbs at Staples it's $1.15CDN per DVD.

Should I just hold off until Verbs go on sale at Staples? (I heard they go on sale a lot).

Or are these prices normal for Canada? I keep hearing about the guys in the States getting TYs for $0.40US per DVD... sheesh...

Thanks

So that is where all the maxell 4x media is at!They shipped it all up north, AYE!

It's been ages since I have seen the 4x speed, LOL

Very good media, usually ricohjpn-r01. I've burned a boatload of those babies and near perfect results. Futureshop is also a great store. I've seen incredible prices on media that has a lower price than the states, even before the exchange rate. The +8 are also sweet, maybe even better?

All instore Maxell media in my area (British Columbia) is now made in Taiwan, id'd as Ritek R03 for +'s. Also this 100 for $29.95 appears to be only online, not in stores where I looked.

This deal is in store:

You may be fortunate enough to get 4x online....but it is getting very scare.

I just bought Taiyo Yuden DVD-R 4x from http://www.blankmedia.ca

There was almost $10.00 is shipping fees, but I didn't mind, I was getting Taiyo Yuden Media !!

Yes, I also have some Maxell DVD-R 8x bought from FutureShop and they are pretty good. (Media ID: MXL-RG03 if I recall).

About 2 weeks back Future Shop had 100 packs of Fugi 8x, made in Japan TYs, for $34.99. TYs seem to always go on sale but it's much harder to find the Verbatim. Keep your eyes open for sales.
