Hi there,
I got a copy of XXX2 and am trying to back it up.I have used DVD Shrink but when analyzing the DVD it stops at 29% citing errors.Same happems when i try clone DVD2.

Its a pretty clean disc bar 2small scratches.
Any advice.I was thinking it was some new copy protection device devised by sony? The disc itself is a Rust colour.Over 7gigs.

Any help?
Thanks

XXX 2 contains ARccOS? copyright protection on it. You first have to rip the DVD with DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 or DVDFab Decrypter or use "AnyDVD" in the background. Then after you have it ripped, load the files in to DVD Shrink by using the "Open Files" button.

There is a link in my sig on how to use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink together. Use that one if you want.

Is that ARccOS bullpoo on many DVD's? I back up a lot of my DVD'z and I noticed that lots of Sony DVD's stop at exactly 12% and I hafta make a full sized image then shrink the IMAGE.

Anyone got a list of DVD reproduction companies that used this new POS encoding POS?

If you used Clone DVD then you must have been running AnyDVD with it and still got the error. AnyDVD can handle this movie

Try cleaning it or take it back for another original, it sounds like a bad disk.

Easy puppy - just rolls over and wants to play.

DVD Shrink in reauthor mode - main movie only - no problems

Use good quality media.

hope this will help:

Run AnyDVD in the background as it has a better encryption system.
use DVD Shrink as normal - will work, if not its the disc.

ps. colw, u cant use reauthor mode cos the dvd has to anaylis first before u have the option. whooops.
