I have backed up a few games that aren't rar'd meaning that I get no .iso image file to work with.

As I use DVD Decrypter (which Im guessing only reads .iso's) how would I go about backing up a game that has only game files within it?

Example - Silent Hill 2 - 48 files - "File type" - 001 file 002 file etc etc. no rar's, no .iso

Problem - Using DVD Decrypter I cannot mount the above file types because they dont have an extension that DVD Decrypter recognises.

Any ideas guys?
TIA

It sounds like there really should be a master archive file, like a rar, arj, ace, or something.

If it's really definitely absolutely not there, try reading the header of the earliest numbered file that you do have (000, or 001 if there's no 000) with a hex editor (notepad may work in a pinch).

You're likely to have files of a type that include a header that will clue you in as to what they are. For example, all files in a RAR archive set (.rar, .r00, .r01, etc) will begin with "Rar!" and then begin the binary data.

when you use DVD Decrypter on a DVD game it
should give you 2 files an ISO & MDS
burn the MDS file
You must be doing something wrong if you get other
files when you do ISO-Read from an original
if it is downloaded then you most likely have rar files

Thanks guys, Think I have cracked it. The first 3 or so files I get were set to open up with different apps. i.e 001 was set to open with power dvd, 002 was set to open with windows media player etc etc.

I changed it to open with win rar and now I can see the .iso

Thanks for your help guys
