This means that you either have two hard drives (or partitions) with one being NTFS and the other being FAT32 or it is reading your system restore space.

Your main drive is c: right? Then don't worry. Just set the destination to the c drive. It is more of info than a warning.

You can still use the FAT32 partition. Just select the .MDS file when burning, not the .ISO file.

That is just a warning message, not a error message.

If that is the case, upgrade your firmware if you can or try a different brand.

hi

i would of said change fat32 hd to ntfs

or if keeping fat32 spilt the iso load to virtual drive or use isobuster to extract all files

not sure how you got a 4.38 gig iso on a fat32 hd in first place?

in file mode its files of roughly 1 gig so all fine then

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

@Rotary

Decrypter will split up the iso into multiple files 1g for a fat32 drive and then you open the mds file with Shrink and that will rejoin the files. I have a second junk drive that I have not converted from fat32 and have used this for ripping in iso mode and then Shrinking with no problem.

Yeah, I used to use Windows ME for DVDs and I would usually get a few files. I got the .mds and two other files. For some reason mine was split a 4 gigs rather than 1, mabe you can set this in Decrypter. Also, the device not ready thing could be that you are in the wrong mode. Make sure you are either in "file mode" or "ISO read mode" if you are ripping and "ISO write" mode if you are burning. If you are already in the proper mode, then you may have firmware or driver issues.

@Tannie
What's the make and model of your burner? Which site are your getting the time out error? Decrypter has an option to check for firmware updates and also tells you which version you have.

You can download this little proggy, and it will tell you your drive and its current firmware version for ever drive you have installed. Just go to this site and scroll down to the very bottom and click "Try this little tool I found" - http://flashman.rpc-1.com/
