I've been browsing thru the threads and this has probably been covered but I want to check something. I use Vegas to make video, then I can render as avi, quick time, etc. Let's say I choose to render as avi, is there a one off app. which will burn that avi on to a DVD that then plays in a consumer DVD player? Also should I be choosing PAL for the UK? Tx.

you mean place AVI on dvdr and play AVI file via the standalone player? or encode from AVI to dvd files then burn as a dvd?

You will also need to encode them to PAL for use in the UK.
