Ok I downloaded EuroTrip in .avi format from Emule and as I don't have a DVD Burner rom on my computer, was just trying to copy it on CD to watch as a VCD or something in my DVD Player.

I have Nero, and used the option to make a VCD but I kept getting an error...

I also tried a video program called TMPGEnc which converts like .avi into .mpg format, again with that something weird happened. Like it encoded the whole movie but then it didn't stop and anyways the audio didn't come through?!?!

Anyone help me out please.

BAsically I have an .avi format movie I want to watch on my DVd Player.

Thnx.

Hi there,

Use Nero (even though u had problems try it again), here is the tutorial off the Nero website,

ftp://ftp6.nero.com/Support_doc/PDF-Express6/Video/CreateBasicSVCD-CD.pdf

or if that link doesnt work, go to this one and then press on create SVCD

http://www.nero.com/en/Tutorials_Express_6_Create_a_VCD_SVCD_Slid...

By the way, i would recommend going out and buying a DVD Burner (if it is in the budget), they only cost 40 dollars or so at sites like newegg.com, and allow youto create DVDs that have higher compatibility to all DVD players, and are genuinely better quality.
