What are the size of most ps2 game dvds? I don't want to have to go back to the store and keep buying dvds. I need to know this cause I have alot of old and new ps2 games that all have different sizes.

Ps2 CD games should be 700mb max, DVD games can be from anything from 1gb to 9gb

It's standard DVD5 (single layer) size, most games are are DVD5 but you do get some that are DVD9 (dual layer hold double of DVD5) but most can be rebuilt to fit on a DVD5

But as with any media that holds files, you lose some storage space because you need to use some of it to point to the files, store the filenames, etc. That's why you can't get a full 4.7 GB on it. The 4.3 GB is probably the amount of usable space on a 4.7GB disc.
