I would recommend the Fuji DVD+R (Made In Japan) only. I'm not saying that the "Made In Taiwan" is bad, but I'm very picky and would only go with genuine Yuden media, such as the Fuji & Sony "Made In Japan". However, the choice is yours to make, it's your money, your call.

Now back to your question, I don't think it's fake because Fuji is highly a brand name, but like I said I would rather take the Fuji +R Made In Japan over any -R period.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

I agree w/ alkohol - stick with the made in Japan's for Taiyo Yudens.
Check out others who has used these - mixed comments:

there is nothing really "fake" about the FUJIFILM made in taiwan, that is their own coding...i haven't had much success with them personally, good thing i only got a 50pack a LONG time ago...but, they are LEGIT, but definitely NOT Taiyo Yuden if that was what you meant by saying "fake or real?"

anyways, i agree with the both alkohol and binkie, if you are going to get the DVD-R under the FUJI name brand, get the MADE IN JAPAN ones...yes, i KNOW they are almost IMPOSSIBLE to find nowadays, the TYG02 coded ones, but, i DO own a few hundred from the beginning of this year (purchased in Jan. 2005...when the MADE IN JAPAN Fuji 8x DVD-R were still available and being sold @ my local best buy~)

i would strongly recommend the 8x DVD+R FUJIs though, YUDEN000T02 coding...GENUINE Taiyo Yuden media and i PERSONALLY have had great results from them...booktyped to dvd-rom~ :)

Recommended Media:

Taiyo Yuden 4x dvd-r TYGO1/ 8x dvd-r TYGO2/ 8x dvd+r YUDEN000T02/ 16x dvd+r YUDEN000T03
Verbatim 8x dvd+r MCC003
Verbatim dvd+r DL (MKM001)= flawless no compression backups

Okay, I've been having probs with playback. it plays for the intro, pixels and freezes. I've cranked the burn speed to 4x, even 2x, using hp DVD-R wich some people say is poor quality. So after 3 shiny hp frisbees, I tried Fujifilm DVD+R (made in Japan)at 4x and BAM! Same problem. Thought maybe it was the compression rate of 76%, but then I got the same freezing prob with a movie with 86%. Again, just at the beginning. I can skip ahead one, then rewind to a time after the freeze frame, and it will play fine. Wierd, huh? Clues anyone?

@dref - lol, and very similar combo to me. maybe start your own thread in the Nero forum re this problem and PM me with the link to the thread. others will also be able to help too obviously. i was gonna say include the logfile in that post which is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log, (but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar)

..but the version of Nero sounds more like Nerovision, in which case you'd have to post contents of nerovision.txt, not sure exactly where that lives. Nerovision however makes me ask why you'd use Nerovision after Decrypter and/or Shrink, surely you'd use Nero Burning Rom in that case ??. anyway, put that all in a thread of your own & we'll attack it for ya..
