ok i just got the swap magic 3.6 with the ghost swich for my slim v12 ps2.

1. how can i back up games and play them i have a 8x DVD+RW drive is it better to burn with dvd+rw disc or dvd+r and how can i back it up

2.what dose the ghost swich really do why cant i juss play back ups by juss useing swap magic 3.6 disc

In answer to some of your questions.

1) Do not under any circumstances try and backup with DVD+RW... ps2's can not read rw discs. I think with the slim ps2 it should read DVD+R fine. First, do a search on the site for the game you want to backup, this should tell you if it needs rebuilding or not. If it needs rebuilding, there are threads at the top of the forum that will tell you how to do this.
If it doesn't need rebuilding, you need one program to backup a disc... DVD Decrypter. You start decrypter, select the drive you'll be reading your ps2 disc from. from the toolbar select mode and then iso read.
select where you want the iso to be put on your hard drive with the destination button. Then click the image of the disc and harddrive.
When it's finished, remove the disc. select mode.. iso write. in the source section click the folder button and select the mds file in the folder where you just saved the image. select the write speed, I'd recommend 4x personally, but it's a matter of hardware really... try 4x and if that doesn't work... burn the image again at 2x and see how you go.
click the dics and harddrive image again.
wait for it to burn and you're done.

2) the ghost switch stops your ps2 from resetting when you insert a disc after swapmagic.

3) don't know... haven't tried, maybe someone else will have a more definitive answer for you.
