that was a strait up copy
There is nothing special there.
If you use the original disc to make the
back up it should give you both files.
Even if you just get an ISO you should still be able
to use DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120%, or Nero and burn that.
here is a DVD Decrypter tutorial for you.
http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id3.html
Alcohol 120%
1. Start Alcohol 120%
2. Select the Copy Wizard option
3. Select the drive that will read the disc & your read speed
4. Select or Deselect the copy current disc on the fly option
5. For data type select which console the game is for PS1/ PS2 then press Next
6. Select your image location and name it then press Next
7. Select the drive that will write the disc and write Speed
8. Look through any other options andchange if needed
9. Make sure that the data type selected is the same as selected above
10. Press Start to begin
By Oner at Afterdawn.com
And Nero should be the Image Burning option.

Unless a game needs to be rebuilt or patched
all you do is burn the ISO with DVD Decrypter
or your favorite burning program. If that is not working
i have no idea what it could be because it is really
as simple as that.
Or delete that ISO file and start over.
Use DVD Decrypter again on the original discs and see if it
gives you oth files. But even burning the ISO should
work as i know many people have have said it works the
same as using the MDS file.

I think i might be able to help you out 12 pack i had the same problem once.
First of all have you got the latest version of dvd descryptor?
Secondly, dvd descryptor might not be making a mds and an iso file because you have got the wrong settings.
Open up your Dvd descryptor.
Then click on tools and settings.
Over here there should be a heading under ISO read mode.
Click the box which says create mds file.
i think that this might solve the problem!

one way to tell if you are doing it right
is to have a look at the DVD Decrypter tutorial
i put a link to above. If you are doing it the
same way then it should be right.
