Get in touch with the companies, wether it be Maxell, Sony, Fuji or whatever the brand you use and voice your displeasure with the product they're putting out.
I've already emailed Maxell Canada to voice my opinion about there MIT product. And from what I'm hearing they're listening!
Please get these companies to stop flooding the market with this low quality MIT crap.....complane, complane and complane again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of this made in Taiwan "crap" is just as good as the made in Japan "crap" The MIT Maxell discs are very good quality as well as the MIT Sony discs ... AND as far as media made by Verbatim and Ritek, excellent stuff all the way
As far as the Sony discs go, I've had greater success using the MIT than I've had with the MIJ Yudens ... My set top recorders seem to prefer the Taiwanese discs and give me greater performance than with their MIJ counterparts ... Personally, I think that you still have a choice .. All you need to do is look through the stacks of discs and pick out the ones made where you like them to be from ...
I think that a more pressing issue is the media that's made in Hong Kong, Malasia and India .. This stuff is pure crap
In closing, I believe that the dye type used is more important than whether the media is MIJ or MIT

yeah, i think you mean those coutries that catfreak mentioned, nothing wrong with Verbs made in Taiwan (or Singapore for that matter).... though i've got no beef with Indian Verbs..

completely agree with catfreak on that one too, not ALL MIT is what you would call "crap"...
to call ALL discs MIT "Crap" is really TOO broad of an overgeneralization, so if you really MEAN to encompass ALL MIT media as "Crap" then therefore you would be saying that Verbatims with the MCC coding and Riteks are all crap??? i would have to strongly disagree with you there...
ALL my Verbatim MCC coded discs are MADE IN TAIWAN and so are my Ritek G05s, BOTH which i find VERY GOOD QUALITY discs~ :)
i think what you SHOULD be more concerned about is these REAL crap discs that are now being produced in CHINA~!! fake TYS and the sort... perhaps a thread about MIC crap off the market would be more appropriate~ :)

Yes I would tend to Agree with you gentlemen ! on that issue ! Verbatims Excellent & made in taiwan ! Riteks G- 05's Well mine say maxell on the packaging but code as G-05's Bought 2 spindles @ Office depot ! had'nt tried them yet but should be great stuff! also taiwanese! I would say as someof you have that it's more a question of quality control and dye type and quality ! than all media coming out taiwan being crap! But with Fuji/taiyo yudens on sale every other week @ BestBuy or verbatims on sale why cry about crap media 1 just buy the good stuff on sale of course ! then burn relax & repeat! Take two movies & call me in the morning! Peace & happy burning!

Another point that I haven't seen posted yet: CMC Mag Corp discs do have a use. Just have the woman of your choice hold one firmly between her knees and ... voila! An effective birth control device

catfreak-On the other hand if your wife ,lover , fiance ect. is the adventurous type and you are somewhat handy with tools you can take several CMC MAG disc and some elastic or surgical rubber tubing and make her an exciting bikini/bra & panty set ( WARNING!) this may possibly have the opposite effect than the one you mentioned ! Depending of course on one's taste ! She could also wear said outfit to a disco or rave ! Food for thought from the king of the empty pantry! peace& happy Burning!
