My freind has been messing about with his system settings ... i restored MS dash but every time i try to browse the dashboard it comes up with a box stating

'xbox live is updating your system please do not turn off your xbox console' then it says 'xbox live is not responding. please try again later'

I have tryed everything i know without screwing it up some more

but if anyone can help me PLEASE respond A.S.A.P

well for starters does he have xbox live and is he connected to it properly use the troubleshoter if possible. And secon is your frined a modder soft? or hard? and third if not then u can actually call xbox live about that and they should be able to solve it!

never heard of this happening before i don't really know what to tell u we will have to seeif anyone else knows. Now let me get this straight every time u boot up to the M4 dash screen it gives u the XBL error message. What about other dashboards?? If not then i would suggest editing the xboxdash.xbe file if u can somehow ftp to ur box!
