If you've ever shopped through cdrom2go.com, and recently visited our site, you'll notice we are trying to improve it as much as we can to make our customers happy. Just wanted to know how we could make your lives easier when you shop online for your media?

Any feedback would be awesome! Thanks.
Please keep it constructive. (i.e 'you guys stink..because....and, you should do this instead...)

Where do I buy my media?
Locally,on sale media for my backups. Under 40 cents apiece with the Yuden000-T02. Under 30 cents apiece with my Ritek R-03.

Why?
For the thrill of finding the best deals, finding out actual MID codes and letting fellow members know where to find the best deals. It's at my convenience!

On the net? Very rarely. My few purchases have come from reputatable sellers from the info given from my fellow members. We are 1 big happy family!

So, on the net...or in a forum like this. Would a cheap steal on media be more impressive than a good customer service story? Since obviously you know what media is good and what is not good, customer service is really no help to you..right? You really shop in the forums and only buy (from the seller w/cheapest price)when youve already made up your mind

Customer service is important if I am not getting what I ordered or paid for. Usually, I have ordered from the member trusted sites and have had not problem. Also, if the retail store sales are reasonable and I know the media is good I buy. I just checked out your site and the price of 8x Verbatims is comparable to a what Best Buy has them for on sale, so it would be easier for me to just get them retail then ordering them. If supermediastore, meritline, rima or newegg have a sale of TY's with free shipping the I buy from them because it comes out to be the best deal.

Have not found any free shipping deals going on, but meritline has a 100 TY 4x at 26.95 using the coupon code. Usually with shipping it makes it about 34.00 to me in Ohio. This is still cheaper than retail, and the two times I ordered these from meritline I usually got the 8x TY's instead of the 4x.

I found the local Sam's Wholesale Club has Sony 75 pack of 8x DVD+R for $29 or so. Nero tells me they are coded YUDEN000 T02. Good enough for me! And if I ever have any problems with them Sam's takes them back.

Haven't had a coaster due to bad media yet! Had my FSB set too fast and had the PeeCee freezing up with DVDShrink quite a bit. Set if back down to 166 and burnt 12 discs with no problems.

MUCH better deal here that aabbccdd pointed out in another thread...

supermediastore has a GREAT price for some GENUINE, 100% authentic TYG02s 100 pack for $29.99 after $7 rebate~ :)

DVD-R-media-100.html" class="korostus" target="_blank">http://www.supermediastore.com/taiyo-yuden-silver-thermal-8x-dvd-...

i personally don't like rebates, but for the other members that want REAL 100% authentic TYs, this is HARD to pass up~ especially if you live OUTSIDE of california (as i personally get charged sales tax here in cali. which makes most deals pretty bad for me)...

@cdrom2go

most of the senior members/addicts already KNOW what they want to get BEFORE they go out and get it, so, customer service is ONLY necessary IF we get a "bad batch" or something TOTALLY different than what we ordered...if your company has a good "return" policy, NO QUESTIONS ASKED and you PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING to "make our customers happy" as you stated, then i for one WOULD try your site and purchase from you...

free shipping deals are usually what makes me "pull the trigger" and end up buying online; so, that is always a good incentive to get customers...you have to keep your pricing competitive though with the other "big boys" of media...( ie. supermediastore, rima, meritline, etc) or else you don't stand a chance...

lastly, im assuming you guys carry AUTHENTIC Taiyo Yuden media...the pricing is not very competitive if you ask me, unless you order like 2,400 pieces or more...ouch~!!

since you are giving everyone a "heads up" on your website, may i ask what is the media ID coding on your own USDIGITAL branded media? where is it made? and WHO do you guys use as your manufacturer?
i think that would be helpful to the members here to know what they are getting into before they make a purchase...

good luck

I think kivory666 just hit the rest of the remaining highlights... Competing with the big boys that he mentioned pricewise, and offering good shipping deals are the two biggest main attractions. Poor cumstomer service will earn you a black eye REAL quick around here, and, in my opinion, good customer service should be the standard regardless of the price point. As far as online purchases, Rima, Supermediastore, and NewEgg (when they have their Verbatim sales). I am using only inkjet printables now, so the BestBuy deals are of no benefit to me anymore...

BTW, Supermediastore has just made their TY printables the best deal by offering them for 60 cents a disc or less after shipping!!!

Oh yeah!!! Nice move cdrom2go by coming to the source... Good luck.
