I can burn successfully with dvdsanta, the movies work fine. But it won't let me skip from file to file. I have to manually fast-forward to each new video. How do I make a title menu to select what video i want to watch? Is there a program I can use?? Thanks.

If you want to add Menu"s and Chapters to your DVD you have to use a DVD Authoring Program but first you have to encode your Source Files to DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 files and then Load the Mpeg-2 files into your DVD authoring program and Make your Main Menu and add Links to Buttons on the Menu so you can Navigate to what file you want to watch.....

One of the Best DVD Authoring Programs is "MediaChance DVDLab Pro" but it is a Little Complicated at First , You might also try "Tmpgenc DVD author" which is super simple to use but it"s Menu Features are a Little Limited....

You can download Fully working 30 Day demo versions of Both programs on the Net or check the Software section of this Web site.....

Hi again. I do have the program TMPGEnc DVD Author. I have fooled around with the authoring program, but never used it. So i put the movies i want on the dvd, put it through this program...it does its magic, then I put whatever it converted to the dvd? Does it setup the menu automatically? I thought you could do templates and colour and all that? Sorry, im a newb :(

Hi, Yes you can select different DVD menu templates in "Tmpgenc DVD author" but the program is very Limited and you have to use the menu"s that it Provides for you so i like useing a Different Program(MediaChance DVDLab Pro) that lets you use any Picture you have as a Menu or you can even use a small Video Clip as a menu...

I will Sometimes cut out a Bunch of 2 second clips from the best action scenes out of the Movie I am authoring to DVD and edit them togehter with a couple of effects and Transitions and with my own audio Track to make a Sort of Flashy Trailer of the movie and use that as the Main Menu on my DVD and will sometimes take Still Images from certain scenes of the Movie and use them as the Chapter selection Menu"s and will sometimes use some of my Favorite Songs as the Backround Music for my Scene Selection Menu"s.......

"MediaChance DVDLab Pro" is Harder to learn than "Tmpgenc DVD Author" but it can also do so much more than what TMPGEnc DVD author Can do and you have to understand how the DVD Structure works so you know what Buttons you have to link to that Menu"s, Movies and/Or Chapters buy once you understand that you shouldn"t have any problems useing it.....

Cheers

Hi, again minion. Lol, sorry. I have another question. These movies I want to burn are .AVI files. But this program Mediachance (which I really do like, btw) doesn't accept them. So I formatted them to mpeg-1. Or should I have done mpeg-2? What do you do for .AVI files?? Thanks a lot man.

Your Files have to be DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 files before you load them into DVDLab....You should be able to use DVD_Santa to encode the AVI files to DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 files and then use DVDLab to add your Menu"s and Chapters and to Burn the DVD.....

There are also other better Mpeg-2 encoders out there Like "Tmpgenc" or the "MainConcept Encoder" with the Mainconcept encoder being one of the Fastest ones....
