help failed backup of PS2 game

tried to back up Destroy all Humans DVD Rom with DVD Decryptor, i copied using ISO and then write using ISO.
i first used the ISO image file and then used the MDS file, in both cases Playstation did not recognize the disk.
did i miss a step?

i don't understand the question, i used my son he booted the disc :)
he put it the PS2 player and pushed the on button, then screen says to insert a valid disc.

the question on boot method is this.
Your PS2 has to be modified in some way
Are you using Swap Magic to boot the back ups?
Do you have a mod chip installed?
Did you buy a flip top cover?
You can not just stick a back up in a stock
PS2 and expect it to play.
It will play back up movies stock, but not games.

thanks for the info, i don't have any of these, so what is the recommended method (easiest and least expensive) and where do i get this?
BTW you made a mistake on the logo, i think you meant to put a Montreal Canadians one
