i was looking in the circuit city ad today and saw they have a 25 pack of NEXXTECH DVD+/-R on sale for $6.98. Does anyone know if these are good media? Thanks!
I agree. If you buy them you may just waste your money.
they should be fine for movies, but i would not use them
on anything that you will play very often.
i saw that ad too,and i usually stick to what works with my burner which is maxell DVD-R 8x,but me and the woman were in circuit city on monday night and i decided to buy 1 25 pack to try them out,i figured what the hell,there only $7. ive burned amityville horror(2005),animal(2005),wedding date,jay-z fade to black,and spanglish and they all came out great,so im gonna go back before sale is over and buy like 3 or 4 more 25 packs.oh i use a sony dru 710a burner by the way.
yup DONT buy them get the good stuff ..Taiyo Yuden ,Verbatim or Ritek(ridata) 100 packs run about 33 or 34 bucks a 100 which isnt that much more than the cheap media .try supermediastore.com or meritline.com
Like i said, for movies they will be fine. The only problem
media i had with movies is Memorex, they are just crap.
Everything else worked. I have the DRU-700A burner and it
does a great job. For games you will want to get DVD's of a bit higher quality though.
