Hi there,

Give us the name of the movies you are trying to RIP.

Some specific movies have new protection schemes on them, and with some, you might need AnyDVD or DVD43 running in the backgroud to remove more protections scheme that DVD Decrypter can't on it's own.

Sometimes, changing some settings in Decrypter helps also.

Are you getting specific errors ?

hi there

i had the same problem back along with resident evil 2 and the forgotten so now ive taken advice from fellow site users and ive been using DVD Decrypter with DVD43 running in the background and ive been able to back up all the latest films like RE 2 and the forgotten, but.......someone on this site gave me some setting for decrypter which i personally found helped me here they are...

Go to "Tools", "Settings", set everything to "Default". Then in the "General" tab change, "Removal Method" from "Normal" to "Aggressive", in "File Mode", "tick" Remove IFO/BUP PUO's." For ripping in the "ISO, Read Mode", "tick" "Remove IFO/BUP PUO's" there also. in the "CSS" tab, under "CSS Cracking Method", choose "Brute Force ~> I/O Key Exchange" and "On Failure" choose "Yes". . IMPORTANT: In the "I / O" tab, in the bottom right, "tick" the box which says, "Ignore read errors". This is an excellent setting for dealing with lightly scratched discs which may cause ripping problems.

hope this helps

many thanks clem

I have tried Spanglish and Man of the House. They just won't back up. I'm going to download DVD43 and try again. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks!!!
