Your are right about that one. They all work right off the bat but I have had a few that didn't work months down the road. The lifetime warrenty's on the things are a joke.

booktype your DVD+Rs/RWs to DVD-ROMs then your burnt disks will be more acceptable to most DVD players
I'm a little unsure of how to do this. anybody have advice for the new guy?

IHoe----

yeah i did. but i meant like a really big issue where i wouldn't be able to burn the dvd or it wouldn't even work at all, just because of the disc. but yeah, like i said, i'll be checking out those other dics.

about the dvd-rom issue, i was just pointing out that the dvd-rom i use is weak. when i tried to analyze 'Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior' with DVD Shrink, it would freeze at 51%. then i did the same thing with my DVD-R drive, it went through with no problem.

other than that..how the hell do you booktype your dvd-/+r/RWs to DVD-ROM??

and lucky for me i just ran out of memorex dvd-rs..so im gonna go pick up some new QUALITY DVD-Rs. haha. thanks everyone..

Crash was actually one of the first DVDs I copied. And it was fine. And since we're on the subject of Crash...How great is that movie!

I backed up crash with dvd Decrypter with dvd shrink and everything worked fine.
And I use that with Sony dvd+r's and all i do is change the booktyping on my lite-on to help it play in my standalone DVD Player.
