...is there a comprehensive/fairly updated list of games that are 'non-standard'/that won't work if you just use DVDDecrypter or whatever and do a normal copy?

Depends on your modchip or boot discs. Different brands and versions of either method will have limitations as copy protection changes.

I use fliptop with LaunchELF rather than SwapMagic (SM sucks, I just used it to install launchELF)
