Are the Ritek DVD+R DL from Rima.com any good? If not, where is a good place to get them cheap? I am using the Sony DRX-710UL.

speters hi :)
yes you shouldn't go to far wrong with RITEK that's the omly media i use
they should ID as RITEKD01 1x-2.4x speed and on the inner hub of the disc there is in very small writing an ID number, it should start with J3 09*****
hope this helps

The only thing that concerns me, is that someone had said that this place was selling fake Taiyo Yuden. So, I was wondering if anyone had bought the DL Ritek's from this place? Thye are only $1 ea. This is alot cheaper than the Verbatims. Is $1 normal for DL Riteks? Can someone recommend another place to get the DL Riteks, if no one is sure about Rima.com?

i haven't had bad experiences from rima.com; i have NOT heard of them selling fakes, in either the Taiyo Yuden OR Ritek varieties...dunno where you read that from...
but, DL media for $1, i haven't seen it THAT cheap yet...if buying ritek DL, i would go here, yes, it's more expensive, but, these are the real deal...

inkjet printables too~ :) just use your best judgement on making purchases...i have never ordered the Ritek DLs from rima.com, so from personal experience, i do not KNOW for sure...$1 seems to be a little low for DL media...sounds somewhat fishy to me.

I got my Ritek Dual Layers from supermediastore and they had the cheapest price a little under 3.50 a disk. I can't believe they are at a dollar :o

@gurnard
I know that feeling, I kept telling myself I got to save them for that special movie. Finally, decided to do the Star Wars, and I did make two coasters and cried a whole lot afterwards. But I learned that Decrypter works the best and to stay away from Nero, at least for me. Nero may work better for others.

What I was looking at where the 9.4, double-sided Riteks. I was confusing these with dual layer media. They are Ritek DVD-R double sided disk. I did not even know that such a disk existed. Will these work in a standard player, like the Sony DRX-710UL, that I have?

I am planning on using these to rip some movies to that I want to be able to play back on my Denon 3910. I have been told that the Verbatims will work with this player. So my question is, if they are both good media, is there any reason that one would be more likely to work with my Denon, than the other?
