How do you know if your dvd is dvd-9 or dvd-5. I go to start, run, and then the dvd drive but it doesn't show me how big the files are.

go to MY COMPUTER, right click on the dvd and click PROPERTIES and then look to see how big the file is

If u have dvd decrypter, open it on ISO READ mode.

This will tell u (on the right hand side) what the disc make up is, readrate etc and number of layers.

DVD5 - single layer(1), DVD9 - double layer(2)

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
