i installed my ezi lite in my ps2 v5 and when i turn the console on, i get a solid red screen. if i press reset about seven times, it will boot up normal, ignoring the modchip. if i press the square button, it does not disable the chip. all of my test lights are green, and i have also verified that my connections from the clips to the modchip are good. also have verified that the ground wire is good. would a bad connection between the bios and dsp chips and their clips cause this problem? i also tried to install toxic bios v1.3 by burning with nero at 8x speed on a memorex disc, but i just get the red screen of death. any help would be appreciated.

You have read through and understand the entire installation manual.

Your PS2 has not been previously modified with any solder modchip.

The BIOS and DSP IC's on your PS2 motherboard are in perfect condition without any bent pins or excess solder attached to them. If your PS2 has previously had a solder modchip installed this will not be the case so DO NOT proceed. We cannot stress this enough! If you attempt to install a clip onto a BIOS or DSP IC with bent pins or solder on some of the pins then there is a very good chance that this will cause permanent damage to your PS2.

You accept that there is a potential risk of damaging your PS2 associated with a DMS4 EZI installation and that DMS will not be held liable for damage done to your PS2 resulting from accidental damage on your part.
While installing the BIOS and DSP clips please adhere to the following guidelines:

koolance water cooling
amd 3000 cpu
NVIDIA 256 mb video
2 120 7200 water cooled hard drives
1 gig ddr ram
ps2 ver1 magic3.1
mc exploit key launcher
hd advance hdl_dumb
flashfxp
40 gig Seagate

the ps2 does work with the modchip disabled. it hasn't been previously modded either. i have been thinking that one or more legs on the bios or dsp chip have been bent. i will check to see if they are bent.

i checked to see if the legs were bent on either the bios or dsp chip and they weren't. has anyone else had this problem? the website will not give me a refund so im stuck with it.

Does it load anything normal? How are you burning your Toxic bios? You need to burn them to CD-R, the same as you would burn a PSX game: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/236278

ive burned them on memorex and sony cd-r's using Nero burning rom, burning as an image file. ive read many threads and tutorials about burning toxic. when i turn on the console, the screen is completely red. i have to reset it like 7 times then it starts up like normal, but it still wont load the toxic disc.

Did you set it to disc at once, burn at 4x, uncheck jitter control, burn on the fly, and check finalize disc. If you get the foreign image settings, make sure you switch to data mode 2. You might want to try other programs like Alcohol 120%, it's a little more user friendly. It's explained in the link I posted before. Man makes me glad I told the installer to flash the DMS 4 Pro for me lol.

Use Alcohol 120%. Open Alcohol 120%. Go to File--> Open and browse to the cue file. Double click it. Right click it and go to image burning wizard. Set the write speed to 4x, the write method to DAO/SAO, the data type to PS2, and select your recorder, click next.
