I've an odd problem with DVD Decrypter (Ver. 3.5.4.0) that has just recently started happening.
If I burn a ripped DVD using Nero (with the same settings that I've always used) when Nero finishes I click 'Done' and it auto-ejects the DVD, at this point I've been in the habit of closing Nero and then loading DVD Decrypter, using it to close the DVD tray and then waiting for the file parsing to list the contents of the DVD, in so doing I'm performing a verification that the DVD was burnt correctly. I've done this for in excess of 250 DVDs that I've burnt with movies on them and it's always worked. But what has started happening recently, and has happend every time since it started happening, is that when I reload the DVD tray containing a DVD that has just been burnt with Nero, DVD Decrypter fails to parse the file structure and does not list the files. Odd. If I then insert another DVD (with a movie on it) DVD Decrypter lists the files as normal. Now this would suggest that the burning failed somehow, BUT if I reboot my PC and try the same DVD that was just burnt (and usually hasn't even been taken out of the DVD tray) after the reboot DVD Decrypter parses the files and lists them as usual. The DVDs which have had this strange behaviour all play fine on my standalone DVD player too.
Has anyone else had this problem, or has anyone any idea how I can fix it?
None of my equipment has changed I've installed no new hardware, nor am I using any DVD software in the ripping, compressing, burning stages that I haven't used a hundred++ times.
The only new software I've installed on my PC is as follows:
Google Desktop v.2 beta and uninstalled a few days later.
Epson Stylus Photo R300 software and drivers
GhostScript and GhostScript
Broadband Speed Tester
MySQL Administrator 1.1.2
MySQL Query Browser 1.1.14
But why would any of these cause the DVD Decrypter problem which I'm having?
Many thanks,
MS
