How come there is no 4x or 8x burning options?

I am using nero through dvdshrink, but when i go to burning options, it only lists 1x 2x 2.4x, and maximum... no 4x or 8x with my lg 4163... i know it cant do it..

anyone have any ideas?

i know the lower the speed the better the copy you get. but at for why you cant do 4 x i dont know,, dose your disks support 4x speed ?

What are the burn speed of your media? Whatever it is, that is the "Max Burn Speed" it will be able to handle.

Generally, the rule of thumb is to burn at x4 speed or under. Anything over that you'd be risking making a coaster. Even if you were successful in burning at higher speeds, you lessen the chance of playing that disc in most stand alone players. Not unless you're contented in watching it on PC's.

Oh sorry nevermind I figured it out, instead of going right to burning after decrypting, I just stopped it afterwards, and then reopened it, now i have the options...lol
