Network adaptor installation help!

Hi guys, I really need some help since i'm new to the on-line thing for PS2. I bought the network adaptor and an Ethernet cable to connect to my router. Once I opened the Bay for placing the network adaptor, the bay is empty (is this normal, no connections or wires?) and what do I need to do with the adaptor?(Do I need to connect some wire or something or I just stick the adaptor in place and turn the screws?). It sound very strange to me. And after, do I need to configure some rules in my router (d-link di-524). I also have a modchip, so does this affect the process of setting the adaptor with the installation CD. All these questions are really bugging me, so please help me, I am really confuse.

lol its simple only on the early mods of the ps2 there supose to be wire ans stuuf there but now there is nothing but there should at least be a little inbut at the top off it connect the adaptor in them and screw the screws in it and ther you go that all you need to do if you need any help put the disc you got in it first and go on netwrk help and you will see what i mean it shows you a movie on how to put the adapto in its easy.

1 more thing you cant play copy onlne games on your ps2 coz thay will fined out and police will come and take all ya stuff away so buy real online games ok.

Are you for real? sites detect cheat devices (chips,AR Max)
not back up copies of discs.
