HELP PLS with decompressing a DVD!!!

hi, computer wizards out there. i'm not one so i desperately need your help. got a dvd with 10 episods of a series on it but my computer doesn'w want to play them. was told to go onto the internet and "decompress". what does that mean and were do i go and what do i do exactly? thanks a lot anybody out there.

O.k you haven't stated what they are compressed as but i will pressume they are compressed as .zip files or WinRAR if this is the case do a search for WinRAR on this site and the link to download it will come up. You will then need to unzip them to your harddrive, hope this helps

hi, it turned out to be a XviD file and i managed to decode/decompress it through www.XviD.com (all this with the help of a friend on the line), but thanks anyway.
