Modding the PS2 Switch to turn on automatically

I have got my Ps2 in my car boot and am looking for a way to turn the ps2 on without having to get out of my car and open the boot and turn it on, is there a way to mod the switch on the ps2 so that it comes on automatically? or anyway i could take the switch out and solder extension wires onto the mainboard that allow me to place the reset switch in my car?

i am sure there is a way to leave it in standby mode
and turn it on via a remote that is wired into the system
but it would have to be hot wired into your PS2
Check with shops that install electronics into cars
they may be able to help you.
