I have downloaded lots of files from the internet from Bittorrent. These files are all 640x480 and are .avi . What are the steps to burn like 8 of these on one DVD+R WITH menus.
Some Problems i have had:
*cant turn 640x480 into 720x480 without stretching image
(since it must be 720x480 to be burned on a dvd+r)
*all 8 files not fitting onto one dvd-r
*audio becomes out of sync at some unknown point in the process
I have gone through so many methods, downloaded dozens of freeware programs, but to no avail, nothing so far has given me menus, 8 files on one dvd+r, and audio sync. Any help with this is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Try DivXtoDVD, google it.
There ia a freeware version of it but I know own the newest one which costs
:P
Then put the converted .avis into Nero Vision Express to create a menu and burn :P
Done!

Is Nero vision express also free? And will the resolution of 640x480 be a problem? Thanks

Will DivXtoDVD make files small enough that 8 can fit on one DVD+R? each file is about 20 min long and about 180mb.

Hmmmmmm no I don't think so try putting them through shrink after DivxToDvd
Heres how i would try an do it >
1) Put 'file 1' into DivXtoDVD and then save it to a folder,
Then put the contents of the folder you saved it to into DVD Shrink and save the files that shrink makes into a new folder
for e.g Shrinked1, Shrinked2,..........etc
2) Do that for all eight
3) Get Nero Vision Express and then bobs your uncle hopefully
I haven't tried it so no guarentee it will work, but worth a shot
You will end up with eight 'shrinked' folders that contain different .vobs and other files just put them into NVE 3 or DVD Labpro or TMPGEnc DVD Author or something like that.
Good luck

have u had any experience wuth TMPGEnc (the encoder not the author)? I am using it right now, and its making a .mv2 and .wav file afterwards, then trying to use TMPGEnc author to make menus. Prob is after encoding, the files are 1.5gb each, if i tried to pur 8 on by using dvdshrink, how horrible would the quality get, is it worth it to buy another DVD+R for 50 cents or take the hit on quality.

You could use a DVDRW and see how bad it comes out then if it's not good enough seperate your project up onto 2 discs
Or if you really want buy a double layer burner and a dual layer disc, but it's not worth it for one project

Dual layer disks, Your mate will have bought them you can fit twice the amount
It is illegal to sell burned episodes on ebay I wonder how the seller got away with that
evilh0ly It would depend how watchable smart wanted them, It would be fCuked up but they might still be slightly watchable
Why don't you just borrow your mates disk run that through shrink then burn that?
