i usually just take a quick peek of the movie on the hard drive just to see if it turned out ok. Good thing too or else i would have a movie with no sound.

Anyone know which DVD+R media are good quality or better than memorex? Such as Sony, verbatim, fuji, mitsumi, maxell not sure which is the greater.

Plus r media is my specialty. Between having 2 benqs that booktype and a tv recorder, that's why I mainly stick with the plus format. Here's some of my top notch media I have used:

Japanese sony and fuji 1x-8x: Yuden000-To2
Japanese maxell +8x, Maxell-002-00: Made in japan by hitachi
Verbatim data life plus +8x:MCC-003: Mitsubishi made, with metal azo dye just like taiyo yuden!
Ritek-R03: Taiwanese maxell +8x and office depot +8x,top notch stuff.
Verbatim digital movie quality +4x: MCC-002
Many other verbatim/sony/maxell +4x with the Ricohjpn-r01 mid code.

All these burn at 99%+, play in just about anything I slap them in,and hard to tell which is better between all of those when burned from my pc. My cyberhome stand alone tv recorder is very picky. Those verbatim MCC-003 are it's favorite.

BTW: Staples has the fuji's on sale again this week: Spindles of 30 for $8.94!!!!! That's 30 cents apiece for Yuden000-T02 if you get the spindles that say made in Japan on the left side of UPC symbol. These are very high quality taiyo yuden media that everyone craves and the cheapest price I have ever seen them, locally on sale.

HP a1118x-b/athlon 64-3300+/BenQ 1650 BCDC/LG 8163B/Modded Wii/Epson-R300 and Ty Watershields!!!

has anyone encountered problems with the dvd jumping or skipping? I've had some dvd's that I've burnt with DVD Shrink and watched them and are ok, but after awhile sitting in it's cover, they seem to jump when i watch them again. I've tried this on 2 different dvd burners and 2 different types of dvd's. Not all are like this only the odd few. bad santa, torque, meet the forkers...

Thanks AsH

call me "johnny come lately" but unless your into bitorrents, or otherwise stealing programs, OR if your willing to dish out $79 for Nero. Decryptor and Shrink are the best way to go.

You do not need Nero to burn Dvds if you have Shrink and Decryptor. Just create ISO images with shrink and burn them with Decryptor.
