My new ps slim doesn't play dvd +rw

i copied a ps2 game on a dvd +rw it worked on my friend's ps2 slim but it didn't work on mine.
the two ps2 are modified with mod chips
can anyone help me?

yes, use either +R or -R
I prefer -R myself
A lot of PS2's won't play RW discs

Copy a movie on the/a same +RW disk and see if your PS will read that. When the movie doesn't play, your playstation ins't able to read RW disks (I can't imagine that with a new PS2 slim). When the movie plays your playstation can read DVD+RW. Then it looks like your mod chip isn't fully installed.

Some chips got one wire that has to be connected to be able to play RW disks, it's sort of a option. If this one isn't connected it will work, but won't play RW game disks. Maybe this is the problem?

Most good mod chips are DVD+RW and DVD-RW compatible
but i am not so sure that it will work well with games
If the movie works that does not mean your games will
I can copy games on any old crap media and they will work
but games on the other hand i only use DVD-R
DVD+R i have had problems with choppy audio/video.
