if i burn a PAL game, can i play it as NTSC by using the video mode option in swap magic?

I think that swap magic is meant to be used to adapt the cd video format to the ps2, so if u have a PAL ps2 you can only play games in PAL format. if you want you can convert your *.iso/*.bin image to NTSC downloading from www.megagames.com "ntscconv".

Yes, Swap Magic 3.0 and above will play both regions
as long as you switch to the right video mode.
But there will be a small portion of the screen that
gets cut off, usually at the bottom.

On most games, you can re-align the screen anyway so it doesen't look as bad.
