Ok I have downloaded the FF7 Advent Children (.avi) and the subtitles are .srt
I've been looking on this site and Google for over an hour and I'm just getting even more confused.
I want to permanantly join the subtitles with the avi file and then I'll convert to DVD so I can watch the movie on my TV instead of computer.
I've tried using VirtualDub but I don't understand it, I found the subtitler plugin, I converted my .srt to .ssa, the subtitles show up on the preview thing and then .. nothing.
I looked at the thread "Adding subtitles" but I didn't understand it because I'm not using the programs in the guide.
hey. i'm having the same problems as you... i think i found a solution, but i'm not sure if it works. so you do it and let me know....
FIRST get DVD LAB PRO. that program. And get WIN2AVI... thatz a program too...
convert your Final fantasy movie, the one i got too, conver that movie to a DVD format through WIN2AVI. After it converts the your movie to a dvd file.
open up DVD LAB PRO, open the .VOB file and "demultiplex" it.
add the video and add the audio into the project.
you'll see SUB... click sub and import your english .srt file
then it should be all together.
click project, (itz on the toolbar at the top) and compile DVD.
then BURN with COPY2DVD....
i hope it works. the subtitles work for me... the AUDIO is jus off... like itz not in sync, it doesn't match, the audio is a little faster than the movie... let me know the results. thanx.
