Problem with Swap Magic 3.6

Ok, I just installed a flip-top on my PS2, and it came with Swap Magic 3.6

My regular PS2 games work fine, but my Action Replay Max disc, which I use with my Maxdrive gets a disc read error, and makes loud noises.

Even worse, my Swap Magic discs also make loud spin noises, but most of the time they load. However they only load to the title screen that says Swap Magic Plus Version 3.6 and then nothing happens. I tried cleaning the lens with a q-tip and alcohol, although my lens isn't very old. Less than a year, in fact, and I don't mess with it. I really don't know what to do, this is very frustrating. I spent about 100 dollars combined on flip-top, swap magic, and action replay maxdrive to enhance my PS2 experience, so I am quite annoyed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also I just want to say that I have looked all over this forum and I have found similar problems but not this particular one. I have also spent the entire day searching the net, and haven't been able to find anything either. I am just so confused here. Please help me out.
