I'm new on this board and just purchased the Slide Combo 3.6.
It came with no instructions (they claimed it was new) and I have no idea how to use it.

I'm trying to play an imported PS2 Japanese game and these are the instructions I got from this forum:

To use the Swap Magic CD to boot DVD Games Do the Following:

1.Eject the CD tray and insert the Swap Magic CD Disc.
2.Reset your PS2 and wait till Swap Magic loads Up
3.When you see the Swap Magic Screen that saids "Load Game" along with the video settings(Pal or NTSC) eject the PS2 cd tray and take out the Swap Magic CD and and the screen will now say Refresh TOC
4.Now insert a PS2 DVD Original Game(Silver Bottom) With a High TOC(check your ps2 games on the computer and see which is the biggest game you have in size)
4.after it goes back to the Swap Magic Screen Open the PS2 Flip Top Cover and insert the DVD Backup, After This The screen should turn red and the game will start

It's really confusing and I especially don't understand Step4.

This is what I've done so far: (first of all I have no idea what that little white plastic card?? that came with the 2 discs is for. (again I was not given any instructions))

I've inserted the "DVD Rom Driver" disc in.
I've chosed NTSC because I wanna play a japanese game (it's NOT a burnt one, it's ORIGINAL)
Now I pop the "DVD Rom Driver" disc out.
I insert the japanese game
The screen turns red but it tells me to insert an PS2 game.

Am I missing a step here?

Again sorry for my ignorance, I just got this and I thought it would be easy to use.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks a bunch.

Also another thing:

I've tried using the "CD Rom Driver" Disc but it won't even load up, is something wrong? which one am I supposed to use?

thanks!

Now I am thanks to some other topics I've read.
But I still can't figure it out because I slide the card (with the hook facing right) all the way right and nothing happens.

you have to slide it to the right, then pull the dvd tray out with your fingers. Then put in your backup. Then push the tray closed with your hand and use the slide card from left to right to close the tray.

Sly, I thought that sliding the card would automatically open up the tray.......at least that's what I read everywhere.

the tray might pop out a LITTLE bit, but you have to manually pull it out.

Thanks for replying.......what about if it doesn't pop out AT ALL? Should I still pull it out handly?
As I said earlier, the card doesn't grab on to anything........
