hopefully, DVD Decrypter will also team up with some other good company. it's nice to know that the software can still be downloaded. still, stopping its development sucks big time.

My only concern with these guys going to work with bigger companies, like Nero, are the restrictions that may be placed on them. Nero doesn't want to get on the RIAA's bad side so I doubt they'll give him free reign in software development.

Well i understand what u mean... but people have to move on and make their own choices... If they want to go to work with big corparations i say thanxs and good luck... but remember here on aD there is a lot of source codes for a lot of the freeware and open source software that u alter if u know about programming and all that other end of computers...
U are free to alter and then re post the updated modified version of the software...

someone please tell me what's stopping Lightning UK from making the software open sourced. That is unless it's already open sourced and i didn't know it.
can anyone recommend a good audio ripper/decrypter too? I've seen a lot and am finding it hard to tell which is good.

Wouldn't it be possible to reverse engineer it? I do not know how to program, but I remember a Ben Afflek movie (I think Paycheck), where he was reverse engineering technology. I would assume you can do the same with software.

blueboy, do you want an audio ripper or a dvd audio ripper?
jaguar, Yeah it was paycheck where in a couple of months he would put other companies out of business by reverse engineering software/hardware and then improving it.
