I backed up my copy of Burnout Revenge and am using Swap magic to boot the backup. The game loads fine but the game doesn't seem to detect my controller. I know my controller works because my retail games work fine. I also know my laser is fine because I just recently got a brand new one. I can even hit the analog button and the little red light turns on. I have Madden 06 and NCAA 06 backed up and they work fine but for some reason Burnout Revenge, Burnout Takedown, and Outlaw Tennis won't detect my controller. Am I burning the images wrong? Please help - I have gone through 10 discs just trying to get a playable copy. I patched the DNAS codes for online with valid codes also if that matters. The game will detect my memory card but it won't detect my controller so all I can do is watch the beginning video. I don't know what is wrong, please help!!

Have you tried rebuilding the original .iso image of the game with ISObuster and CD/DVD gen, then IML2ISO?

no I haven't tried that. What good will that do me? One game I downloaded straight off the internet and patched the DNAS and it still didn't work.

may just be something wrong with the files you downloaded.
I backed up Burnout & Burnout Revenge and had no problem
Other than that i am not sure
What do you burn them with?
What media do you use? (brand and speed)
What speed did you burn them at?

I burnt them at 2x with Ritek DVD+R's. I know they work fine because I backed up God of War and a few others on the same DVD's and they worked flawlessly. Like I said, the game will load but it acts like there is no controller plugged in. I hit buttons but nothing happens. Could it possibly have something to do with patching the DNAS to play online?

Are you using PSone's controller? I remember that someone had similar issues some time ago with Burnout: Takedown, and the reason was that some games won't work without fully analog controller (PS2's pad) although others work just fine also with PSone's pads.

uh I did back up my own but the same thing happened so I tried downloading it. If you read above you would realize that it was a controller issue. I was using a psone controller... I am buying a ps2 controller today.
