Hey, I have made an Iso for my PS2 game, which I first burnt with nero with a DATASTREAM Proffesional DVD-RW disc, the game worked fine form turning on the PS2. I erased the data because I wanted to put on another Iso which I did and it also worked fine. I went to the shops to find more DATASTREAMS DVD Blanks but couldn't find any, so I go TDK DVD-RW discs. On the cover they say DVD-RW Data/Video, 4X, 4.7 GB. I burnt the iso with Nero and when I put it in my PS2, which is modded, it just stays on the start up screen which says Broswer and System configuration, I cannot even hear the disc moving around inside the PS2 even though it is. I also tried Imation DVD-RW's which also did not work, I tried DVD Decrypter after which also they did not work. Does anybody know how to fix this problem or to tackle it? I would love any help it would really really bve appreciated!!!

Which modchip do you have?
I think some will play DVD-RW, but not all.

You could always just use a DVD-R instead, even here in the UK it only costs me around 20 - 50p per disc (depending on the brand of course)

Not bad for keeping your originals safe and scratch free,i think.

good luck and hope that helped

RW discs are VERY bad for your ps2 laser.

V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05

agree with above. I would stick with either
-R or +R 8X speed DVD's
both my V7 and V12 work better with the -R
Philips, TDK, Ritek G04
Verbatim Datalife (MCC ink only!), Taiyo Yudon
make sure with Ritek and Taiyo Yudon you are getting the one's
made in Japan, there are a few fakes out there

How can you tell your v7 ps2 works better with -r than +r? My v7 ps2 can read -r and +r but how can I tell which format is better for my v7 ps2?
