1:Do you know of any xp software which conflicts with "AnyDvd" and "Clone Dvd"? (I have used xcopyplat.and recently "Decrypter with Shrink"....but they won't allow me to make a backup with some of the newer encryptions). 2:IF I install "AnyDvd" & "Clone2" Is "Any Dvd" used in the BACKGROUND while I try to encode with "Clone"? I need as much step by step help (in trying AnyDvd and Clone) as I can get.AfterDawn has an excellent guide for Clone, but, I don't see any operating and set up instructions for AnyDvd or any info which tells me how to interface Anydvd with Clone. How is this interface accomplished? Finally,3: Have you found any of the newer movie discs that Any Dvd with SHRINK hasn't been able to decode?? Lots of questions.... and many more THANKS ahead of time for your time and response.

Windows XP has no "Native Drivers" that would conflict with either AnyDVD or CloneDVD 2. By the way XCOPY DOES have the Patin Coufin driver which MAY conflict with AnyDVD. AnyDVD is a "Filter Driver". I would totally remove XCOPY. Just MY Opinion.

By the way, AnyDVD is either "Enabled" or not. The Defaults should work fine for you.

Right, just click the icon and look for the fox in your taskbar. I would also go along with bunnyrip on uninstalling x-copy. With AnyDVD, decrypter, and shrink you don't need it. You can use these programs to get better quality backups and when it comes to decrypting x-copy is sadly lacking.

All you have to do with AnyDVD is install it and choose whether to allow it to autostart along with windows. I always just start it up as I need it. It simply runs in the background and removes those nasty encryptions! It always give me a warm fuzzy feeling to see that little foxduring backups! Simple and totally effective program! Also be sure to use quality media such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim and burn at a slow speed such as 4X.

@bigdaydad

Here is a guide on using AnyDVD and Clone DVD

http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/BACKUP%20WITH%20CLONEDVD&ANYDVD.pdf

As far as Xcopy goes there is no need to uninstall the program unless you no longer want it, there are no conflicts with AnyDVD or Clone. I have 2 Xcopy ver. on my comp and have not troubles. I also have CopyToDVD which I use for burning and it also has Patin-Couffin in the program. You can also use the Patin-Couffin driver in Decrypter as your interface instead of SPTI.
