anyone no if the company who makes the disc makes a difference in quality. and what is the best disc for the least amount of money

Taiyo Yuden is the best... And, YES, who makes the disc makes all the difference in the world! TY makes Fuji and Sony +R if they say "Made in Japan." You can also get them here:

on this list shows that Maxell DVD-Rs to be the best..... but like Teflon says..... Taiyo Yuden are great!, Verbatiums are great, Sony's are great! stick with those and you can't go wrong!

Chris I would suggest checking with the manufactor website of your burner and see what they recommend. What ever it is they have tested it already. Tiyo yuden, Verbatum and Maxell Work great on my sony DRU710A. Which all three are recommended on Sony's website. And as always keeping your firmware up to date will make it more compatible with new media.
