Hello all! Very useful forum here. Glad i stumbled across it...

Anyways i am new to backing up dvds and was wondering if you could help me out.

As a result of reading through all the different threads on this forum, I am using AnyDvd, and clone2dvd as my software choices. At the moment it is Scrubs season 1 disk 2 that i am trying to backup.

I only selected half of the episodes on the disk and no menus as i was going to put half on one dvd and half on the other. (only have dvd-5's) I wanted to go straight from the source dvd to my dvd+r (verbatim) so i selected the output method: "DVD writer" and also lowered the speed to 4x.

I keep getting this error and after i have wiped off the dvd:

"Processing Error: d:/video_ts/vts_01_1.vob: read error.

Incorrect function.

If reading the media has failed, please clean the surface and try again."

Try ripping the files first with DVD Decrypter in file mode, then opening Clone and your files and then edit. If you get the same error with Decrypter there may be something wrong with your disk.

i kept getting these say i aborted the burn... or is getting a few normal?

What should be the next step? I am going to try and burn a different dvd...

Yes try another DVD and see if it works or if you get another error.

So i successfully burned a DVD with AnyDVD and clonedvd2...

Leemony Snickets. I included everything except for the main movie as in all the individual scenes etc but when i try and press play from the menu, it skips to a couple of the "legalese screens" and then goes back to the menu.

I didnt include the main movie (im calling this the main movie but it was simply the largest thing on the dvd...) because i thought if i had all the parts it would function in the same way. Do i have to put things in order etc before i try to copy it? Thanks!
