Hello All.
I have not had much luck searching for a simple way to transfer an .AVI file on to a DVD so it can be played on my DVD Player.
Can anyone help me with this?
I tried using Shrink DVD 3.2 and opening it through the "Open files" tab. I then got a message saying, "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Failed to open file C:\My Shared Folder\Mary's Birthday\VIDEO_TS.IFO
The system cannot file the file specified.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Thanks,

DVD Shrink can only be used to open & compress DVD Folders, DVD Discs and DVD Images. You can use tools like avi2dvd, TMPGEnc, WinAVI, etc... for converting AVI files to DVD format.
Also software like Nero Vision Express & DVD Builder can do it.
To make a menu you will have to either use something like Nero Vision, or after something like avi2dvd, you would have to take your files over to an authoring program like DVDlabpro.

Thank you all for such the quick feedback.
I do have an additional question. I do have Nero 6 but as the forum suggests, I'm definately a "Newbie".
Could you walk me through the steps in Nero 6 once DivX to DVD has completed the conversion?
Thanks again in advance.
Thanks,

Hi there,
If you purchase DivXtoDVD v2.00 (Currently Pre-Release v1.99.16) it has it's own built in burn engine.
Once converted, it can automaticly burn to a DVD Media.
Or once it's stopped, you can manually check the end results, and then open up DivXtoDVD, use the "Burn CD" menu item, select the directory and burn, that's easy !
