Hi,

I hope somenone will respond to this or i will lose $20.0.

I have NTI DVD/CD-RW v.6.0 and trying to burn ISO file 1.83 GB that was downloaded from a legal website. The problem is that i can't write the ISO file using the NTI or other programs into a new DVD-R and keep getting the same message " Inesert a recordable disk in the specified target drive" or "No Disk insereted". I have checked that the drive works and is the the correct drive, also checked that the DVD is clean and new, but still no luck. Also tried lots of tother prorgams like DVD Santa and Burn On CD/DVD, but the same message appears!

Can you please help?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Please provide us a little more information.

What burner are you using ?
a DVD Burner ? a CD Burner only ?
What model, and what firmware revision is on there ?

What media are you using ?

VSO Inspector v1.1 can provide those information to you.

This .ISO, is it a CD-R Image ? a DVD Media Image ? (What's the size)

Maybe you are trying to burn to a DVD Media, and your drive doesn't recognise this new media, because your firmware is old on your drive.

Let's see if this is the problem or not !

NTI v6.0 is old, I think they are at v7.x now, that deal better with DVD drives and media.
Quote:
New Features in Version 7
DVD Fit? ? Compress dual-layer movies down to single-layer size, remove unwanted features, and burn them without having to split a movie onto two discs. (Does not work with copy-protected movies.)

Disc Spanning ? Archive your data files on CDs and DVDs, and let our new Disc Spanning feature help you organize your files onto multiple discs!

Cinematic Video? and Cinematic Slideshow? ? Give your home videos and slideshows a professional look with our new Cinematic feature. Our program will intelligently edit together the best parts of your videos & pictures, and automatically add transitions & effects to synchronize with your background music. Choose from several exciting styles to give your video or slideshow a polished look! (Note 1)

Photo Disc? ? The Photo Disc feature allows users to save JPEG photos on a CD where most new DVD players can play the Photo Disc as a picture slideshow.
Support for Dual-Layer DVD Media
New Look and Feel ? We have redesigned the skin to improve the look and feel of our software.
So lots of new stuff in v7.x

The program I am using to burn the NTI ISO file size 1,975,879 is NTI CD & DVD-Maker Gold V.6 (Dragon flame or somthing like that).

The DVD and CD devices are of type NEC DVD + RW ND-1100A,
DVD-16X DVD-ROM BDV316C, and Generic DVD RM S6CC11 CD ROM. I have tried using both Devices that i have just to make sure but keep getting the message "Inseret the correct media", tried using DVD decryptor but got the message "Fat32 does not support single file > 4GB"????

I also thought it might be important to mention that tried to update my drivers mentioned above but with no luck.

I have also used Nero and got japanese font so couldn't get anywere with that.

The whole deal is that I downloaded some games for PS2 from a secure web site thru Bittorrent it was very quick but the file were in RAR files and had to be put into archive and the extracted. Then using NTI I made the file NTI ISO so that i can burn it and paly it on PC. The game is called (Radiata Stories USA DVD).

I had the same problem with other differnt files that downloaded and don't know what to do with it?

I am now in the middle of dowloading the new tiral version of NTI burner may be that will help!

Please Help, I had to work hard for the $20.

Any help is Appreciated.
