I have this burner and although, it will only burn at 4x, can I still buy Taiyo Yuden DVD+R 4.7GB, 8X media, if I am satisfied with 4x burning speed?

Will it be compatible? There is a great price at RIMA and any help would be appreciated.

 Yes, they are compatible. It's been some time since I've seen Taiyo Yuden 4x duscs in the +R format. For best results, make sure that you hace the latest firmware installed.

 Here's a good deal on +R 8x Taiyo Yuden at SuperMediaStore ..

Both those sites are very reputatable on selling genuine taiyo yuden.Also meritline and americal.com

My dad and another buddy both have NEC 1100A's. Very fine burners. They haven't had to update their firmware for the newer 8x media. Those Yuden000-T02 MID codes on the fuji and sony +r 1x-8x are working very well for them. That'll probably be the MID code on those +8x ty's from those sites.
