I am considering buying the package for $150 or so that includes the spiderchip and a 200 gig hdd. Is this a good idea? The deal is on consolesource.com. I definitly want to do soldierless b/c I have no experience with soldiering at all. And is this a OK site to buy from?

Oh and how many gb's are each Xbox game?

Not sure about that chip, never used it. I'd recommend using the Xecuter 3CE. It does come as solderless. Xbox games range from around 600mb to nearly 7gb. The average is probably around 4 and a half gigs (give or take).

I've had a couple of experiences with the dreaded spider chips-i would seriously keep away from them, you can never get them to seat properly and have to use the "squeeze" tecnique or end up soldering a solderless chip in,for a few more dollars i would go with xecuter chips, not only do you get a fantastic chip, but also, the amount of information and resources about them compared to the spider is awesome.

Are there any that are cheaper that are good? And can someone explain to me why the xecuter 3 CE is so amazing and worth the extra money? I'm trying to find a low priced yet very good mod chip.

I use xecuter 2.6 ce chips and xenium chips, both i have found very reliable and reasonably priced,if your not confident with a soldering iron, they both can be used with a solderles adapter,i have tried a few chips in the past, but for the overall reliability and technical back-up compared to other chips the xecuter range is so far the best,if it's for your own console, and it's your first installation,i would go with xecuter,if anything does go wrong then there is a ocean of help out there, compared to the cheaper range of chips, let me know what chip you decide and how you get on with the installation-it's all worth it in the end!
