Ive backed up 50+ games and had no problems and ive ran into like 3-4 that the the game loads but the screen keeps rolling over and over. Any ideas what makes them do it? I have a slimline and dsm4.

What do you mean rolling over and over. Like looping the same screen everytime you hit something? I had something similar that happend in Metal Gear Solid 3. Turned out you had to hit O on the menu's instead of X! LOL

No I get the diffrent menus but the actual pictures keeps rolling like the v-hold on the tv is wrong.

what version PS2 do you have PAL or NTSC?
it could be a game from a different region.
which ever version it is there is a force mode option
on your chip, if you didn't already know.
You can set it to force NTSC or Force PAL and it will
force every game to load with the correct screen rate
also while your there set "Y" position fix to ON
just start the PS2 and hold the square button to get to
the options menu on the chip.

That is the only reson i have ever seen a game flip out on
the screen or show up black & white

Simple. the games that do that are either NTSC or have both NTSC & PAL capability but the default has become NTSC upon backing up.

The screen rolls because you have a television that can only display a PAL signal.

Solution:- a) Buy a new TV that is PAL & NTSC compatible (preferable to problem but not to pocket)
bi) Only back up PAL games (sold in the UK)
Bii) There might be a solution for those games that give you a menu selection at the very start for NTSC or PAL that is not re-produced on a back-up disc and default to NTSC when copied but I have'nt found one yet.
